About:
Re-Give
is an online crowdfunding platform that enables its
clients (individuals
and social entities such as charities, social
enterprises, etc
that create positive social impact) to raise returnable donations
(interest-free loans) directly from the general public,
funding organisations
(e.g. trusts & foundations),
corporate philanthropists,
etc.
It is designed to complement existing fundraising platforms
and provides a safe, reliable, secure and easy-to-use way for
funders to make returnable donations to
the social entities of their choice – thus empowering and inspiring
the public and social entities all across the world to make a
real, positive difference in their communities and to their
society.
Re-Give Limited is an FSA
Registered Industrial & Provident Society. No 31497R.
oRIGIN
Re-Give
originated from a UK registered
charity that
worked for more than 25 years as a
channel through which returnable donations
were
made for
projects overseas.
The charity realised that this service has significant
potential and thus, Re-Give was established and spun-off as an independent entity to develop and to
expand the returnable donations funding model.
Raison d'être
Re-Give is addressing a significant national problem: the
availability and affordability of finance for
enterprising social entities. Through a unique, effective
solution: Re-Give is spreading the funding risk and making
it easier and faster for its clients to raise low cost
capital directly from the general public & organisational
funders. In doing this, Re-Give is helping to strengthen
civil society.
The returnable donation model is a pioneering,
mass-public fundraising initiative, with the potential to
revolutionise the civil society funding landscape and to
open-up a huge untapped resource; potentially drawing-in and
recycling million of pounds every year and enabling
enterprising social entities all across the world to launch,
develop and prosper:
FOR FUND SEEKERS:
Re-Give enables social entities to seek
returnable donations quickly and easily directly from the
public for launching and supporting:
major social and charitable
projects and programmes, bridging funding shortfalls,
repaying debts, maintaining current developments, etc.
In Re-Give, they have a major, low-cost, stable source of
long and short-term capital which will help them to
transform and to build a more robust, a much stronger,
healthier and a more vibrant civil society.
FOR FUNDERS:
Re-Give enables
funding organisations, corporate philanthropists and the
general public to achieve much more with the same ‘pot’ of
their money (i.e. Re-Give generates a greater, a more sustained,
enhanced, long-term social value, return and impact)
and also gives an increased depth of flexibility and
strategic additionality in making funding decisions. This
clearly has significant, lasting benefits for both
individual and organisational funders as well as the entire
civil society sector.
